I’d give this 11/10 stars. My experience at WASHO was excellent beyond words. Sho is an amazing chef and knows a lot about cooking, from cultural elements to the chemistry of the ingredients. His command of English is excellent and he’s able to precisely explain any question asked of him. You’ll get a thorough understanding of both how and why the cooking is done. We went for the Udon & Beef cooking class, and loved it so much that we went back for the sake class at the end of the day, and Sho surprised us with even more cooking tips and excellent dishes. This is an experience that will be the highlight of your trip to Japan, and I could not recommend this experience any more highly. Book it, you’ll be glad you did.

My friend and I took Sho's healthy vegan ramen cooking class on a whim, and we couldn't have had a more fun and informative experience! Sho is a very friendly and skilled instructor whose passion for cooking was evident throughout the class. He also went beyond providing us with stepwise instructions by tying the cooking process to principles of science and nutrition. The end results were the most delicious bowl of ramen I've ever had (and I am insanely picky when it comes to ramen) and a memory from my visit to Japan that I will never forget. Trust me, you don't want to miss out on Sho's wonderful class!

Expérience exceptionnelle ! Sho est venu nous chercher à la gare (train direct et rapide depuis Osaka ou Kyoto) et nous a conduit dans son studio de cuisine. Il parle parfaitement bien l'anglais, est très souriant et très avenant. Le cours de cuisine était parfait : nous avons appris plein d'astuces pour la confection des ramens, le décryptage des étiquettes, les produits et la culture japonaise... Et pour ne rien gâcher, les ramens qui nous avions cuisiné étaient absolument délicieux ! Je recommande chaleureusement cette expérience à tous !
